From mom--
My daughter had to get an excision biopsy. Though she didn't get to use it near her biopsy site (for obvious medical reasons), she held Buzzy in her hand, and he was a great distraction. That is no small feat during a small surgical procedure!!

Dear Dr. Baxter -
I'll tell you about my own experience. When I went through the fertility treatments last year, which as you know involved two IM shots of progesterone in the hips each day for several months, I was overwhelmed with the idea of the number of shots and the anticipation of the pain each day. When we used "Buzzy" I was really surprised that I could not focus on something besides the pain. It was really a life saver. Eventually, I was able to relax even knowing that I was going to get a shot because I would not feel any pain when I used the "Buzzy." I got to a point where I could even give myself the shot. We are looking forward to getting a prototype. I wish I had been able to use one when my daughter was growing up. It used to take several nurses to hold her. It was an extremely stressful experience for her and me every time we had to go to the doctor. -A.R.
