IV pain tip
First, here is an IV pain tip of the week: we heard from someone who is on dialysis who says just holding Buzzy in the hand as they're accessing works well for her. This could be an option for younger kids as well, I had a three year old who was perfectly distracted from her IV stick when she flew Buzzy around the room in the opposite hand!
All the Buzzy babes are happily exhausted from MedTrade in Atlanta. We met a lot of wonderful folks with great healthcare products. I was particularly taken by Grampa's Gardens soft good smelling weighted bears, kitties, and snakes. We at Buzzy LOVE natural, cute pain relief. Obviously.
We were HUGELY excited to read about Buzzy in Medscapethis week. The site requires you to join, but the article contains a scientific review of needle pain management, and concluded that Buzzy solved the case of the terrified 7 year old.
